CAULFIELD GRAMMAR SCHOOL

Mural projects with Caulfield Grammar School - September 2017 & October 2019.

In Australian Aboriginal mythology, Bunjil is a creator deity, culture hero and ancestral being, often depicted as a wedge-tailed eagle. In the Kulin nation in central Victoria he was regarded as one of two moiety ancestors, the other being Waa the crow. Bunjil, after creating the lands, was swept up to the stars as depicted in this small mural. The installation over 3 days sparked many conversations from inquisitive minds and even some inspiration to create their own Bunjil! Installed in October 2019.
